About the author
Chrystal Houston has been writing stories since childhood and is pleased that now she can do it professionally. She honed her craft with a double major in English and communication at York College, in York, Nebraska. Her own college experience forms the basis for her debut novel I’m a Spork and Other Things I Learned About Love My Freshman Year, which is the first installment in a four book inspirational romance series for teen readers.
Chrystal loves to sing, read, and spend time with her adorable two-year-old daughter. When she isn’t writing novels, she is the staff writer for Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. Her work has been published in Nebraska Life, as well as the alumni magazines @Mays, Texas Aggie, and Heritage.
Chrystal is a member of Brazos Writers, the International Association of Business Communicators, and the Society of Children’s Book Authors and Illustrators. Originally from the Midwest, Chrystal currently lives in College Station, Texas, with her husband, Mark, their daughter Lily, and their neurotic dogs, Pip and Rosie.
